Bath Spa
Here are guidelines which will help you when visiting a bath spa or a pool spa:
- The hot springs at a bath spa is a non-smoking environment.
- The hot springs is a “Mobile Free Zone”. Please switch off on arrival.
- The hot springs is a place of calm and relaxation
- Children under the age of 16 must generally be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Refreshments, alcohol and light food can be served only in the café area on the spa resort
- Avoid eating a heavy meal prior to bathing at a pool spa and spa treatments
- Allow time after your treatment to relax in the waiting room or spa cafe.
- Bookings are necessary for all individual spa sessions at a day spa.
What should I wear to a bath spa?
While there is no dress code we do recommend comfortable clothing. Visitors in a health spa are provided with a robe and towel. We recommend you bring a pair of slippers for the change rooms and around the pools.What do I wear while bathing?
All bathers in public pool spas are recommended to wear appropriate swimwear. In the private pools and baths swimwear is optional.
Medical notes
If you have any health concerns you should discuss them with your doctor before visiting a bath spa and hot springs. Some conditions which require attention include pregnancy, heart conditions, diabetes, low blood pressure and some skin conditions. There may also be other conditions to which this warning should apply.
Most day spas do not recommend bathing in the thermal pools during pregnancy. Other guidelines for pregnancy are as follows: Avoid use of the pure essential oil blends, heat, steam treatments or hot water during pregnancy. No mud body treatments are available during pregnancy.
